About Us

Weyms’s Lodge is a beautiful purpose built lodge. Our residents tell us through their surveys’ that they feel happy and they feel they are given choice. Residents say the staff know their health needs, personal wishes and rate staff as being outstanding for their care. Family and residents friends tell us through their feedback; ” The manager has gone above and beyond to support family. With the well being of the residents (Nan) at the centre of the decisions made and actions taken..” “My friend is always pleased to see me…encouraged to do things, if he wants to…I am so grateful for the help and care he receives”.

We provide our residents with the best possible quality of life in an environment which is welcoming, compassionate and empowering. Our lodge is beautifully clean and comfortable. We are responsive to the changing needs of our residents. We have a weekly GP visit and have great relationships with the local multidisciplinary teams and service providers.

“We want to thank Matron Kay and her superb team of nurses and carers – including the chefs – for such magnificent work. I know it’s very difficult to achieve such high standards”

Mrs S
“My mother has always received the most wonderful care. She has been treated with the utmost respect and there is always a constant flow of staff that monitor her fluid intake, take her tea, ask her choice for tea and if she is not happy with the choice they offer alternatives. She feels safe and part of a wider family.”
Mrs P and family
“My wife is in her 9th year as a resident of Wemyss. We see standards improving each year and the care by staff is outstanding”
Mr O

“My husband has been in the unit at Wemyss Lodge care home for 2 months. I am so pleased at how well he has settled, especially after a move from another care home that couldn’t manage him. The quality of care he now receives is kind, supportive and sensitive. The skilled staff are vigilant and engage with residents in a relaxed and friendly way without being intrusive. The care is all I could want for my husband. The home is undergoing some renovations which are being managed well to minimise the disruption to residents and staff. The improvements are already positive”

Mrs B

“Wemyss Lodge continues to provide fantastic care for my mother, who has lived here since July 2015. The staff are caring, friendly, highly professional and endlessly patient. A family member visits virtually every day, and visits are always a pleasant experience. Well done Wemyss Lodge”

“Staff were courteous and polite whilst questioning who I was and explaining sign in procedure. Staff were welcoming, the home was inviting with lots of areas of interest such as the candy cart and Chinese decorations. Residents appeared happy and well cared for. Meeting with the senior staff was professional and I was made to feel very welcome. Staff very enthusiastic about mentoring trainees and had a lot to offer. I had an extremely positive experience”
